Q: How often should I have my carpets extracted?
A: One of our top floor care tips is that carpet extraction, a type of deep cleaning, should be done annually or even quarterly, depending on the level of foot traffic your business receives. With all of the snow, slush, salt, and miscellaneous muck that gets tracked in over the winter and spring, your carpets take quite a beating. Now is the perfect time to give them a refresh!
Q: Why is “pre-treating” important?
A: Pre-treating helps to loosen deeply set stains as well as neutralize odors, and it’s a vital first step we take in the carpet cleaning process. Once our pre-treatment solutions loosen stains, the carpet extractor can be more efficient at lifting them up, which leaves your carpet looking refreshed and renewed.
Q: How often should I schedule a heavy-duty floor cleaning?
A: At least quarterly. Scuff marks and most stains are unsightly, but fortunately, they are relatively easy to clean. One of the more insidious issues of hard flooring is moisture, which can build up in vinyl flooring over the course of the winter, with folks tracking in melted snow. Moisture in vinyl flooring can cause issues with its longevity and durability.

Of course, this is somewhat dependent on what the facility’s primary use is, but in a school, healthcare, or factory setting, safety is paramount, and we recommend at least one cleaning at the end of each day (or more, if the situation calls for it).
Q: Why is it important to seal concrete floors?
A: While concrete is an extremely durable flooring material for factories and manufacturing facilities, it is a porous material that will break down over time when it’s exposed to moisture. We recommend sealing concrete flooring every two to four years to prevent cracks and pitting.
